Did the roll cage today in high gloss black.

How do you find axle replacements if these are so common?. The attached pictures show the one that I'm currently restoring. It's a very long axle and everything is already 3/4" for the brake drum and sprocket hub. I was able to find custom sized bearings but could not get the axle in the link...

Had some time to add a little splash of color to the sprocket.

Finished filling in and grinding complete. Hope to powder coat it today. Have just enough pearl white left. (I hope!)

Yeah, very weird setup. Was considering cutting off and installing hangers for a typical set up, but the cost would be significantly higher than it would be for the custom axle I ordered

Main frame powder coated in a nice shade of blue.

Had a stumbling stone when it came to the axle. Cannot find a stock replacement, so after contacting BMI again, turns out I need to get a custom grind for this thing. Ordered a 1" solid axle and gave them the proper dimensions for step-downs to .75", keyways and thread length...even the thread...

Beginning assembly with complete new rear end including axle, bearings, hangers, new brake system, New torque converter, chain, and of course brand-new engine and tires with gloss black powder coated rims

Top coat applied, cured and still hot in the oven

First coat of white powder base already oven cured by 50%. Doing this insured that the neon yellow top coat is as bright as it can be.
