Here is one of the Go-Karts that we are we are building. This one is going to be my 11 year old sons. We found the chassis, tires, and steering laying around at my husbands shop...the tires have been replaced. We welded on an old School bus seat. He is not quite sure what the next best step...

I did, indeed, order a certrifugal clutch and a chain from e-bay and they just came in the other day. We also fashioned a seat of sorts for my 11 year old and ordered a new carburetor, sine the old one was shot. Next is to rig up a way to secure the gas tank. The brakes are just plates that stop...

We got this gem for 300. Now to see what is going on woth it ..and fix it up. Its been sitting for 5+years (in shelter) , so they dont even know if it runs!! Where to begin???

My husband told me it was #35 that I needed. He knows allot about engines and tinkering, etc....but go -karts are a first for him too!1 I LOVE doing this with my boys and learning as we do it!! Not sure aboyt the tyre diameter..but the axle was 10 inches. I wil definitely double check before...

Oh..jsut read the end of the post..we do have a go kart..4 different ones actually in different stages of completion. They are the mother/son projects that my 4 boys and I are doing this summer (with the technical help of my husband)

That really does help. I just counted 72 on the axle..so I know we need a 12 clutch with #35 chain. You are awesome! Where do ya live in So Cal..I am from Indio CA

We are just starting out. We have a Briggs and Stratton 5 HP Engine with a 3/4 inch shaft. I want to order a clutch new clutch setup. How do I know how many teeth I need on the sprocket?
