if your interested. carsandcameras modded their 670cc electric start so its mounted on their steering column. if you go the electric start route then i would definitely consider rerouting the wires and box.

They already have bends in them. When ever metal is bent some is getting compressed and the other side stretched. Buy heavy duty stock from a metal company around your town

if you have not already go out on to the web and look at some build logs so you can get an idea for what your getting in to. Your trike is decently under budgeted. your live axle alone will cost you 230 dollars. add the 6.5hp engine youll most likely be using and a clutch or cvt if you dare too...
As i said before im on a really tight budget. Id rather fab a live axle with pillow blocks than buy one for 240
