It’s really a difference of how they are measuring the power and how they are calculating it. The only problem with using one test and one engine is it doesn’t account for other variables besides RPM and hp delta %. What if the guiding variable is not RPM but hp how would the numbers turn out...
This will be very useful. I have a pretty narrow rear track and am putting some suspension shocks right next to the engine and will need to position the mount so it clears.
Any ideas where I can get solid models for go kart components? Looking for tav2 torque converter, predator 212 engine, go kart rack and pinion, etc. Couldn’t find much on 3d content central.
I am debating on which material to build my custom go kart out of. Trying to balance weight and strength. I am going big and clunky with a side by side two seater with suspension and had a mix of 1/4 and 1/8” wall 1x1, 2x3, 1x2 square and 1” round pipe. My partially finished design ended up...
I'd love to see what you can really get out of a 212.. I suspect less than buying a new engine though... at $400 for the everything tuner kit you could buy a 420 engine for less, so.... unless you really need that extra 30lbs of weight savings for something..
Hey everyone. I am going to be starting a go kart build with my son after Christmas when he'll be getting a predator 212 engine, a gopowersports live axle kit, front wheels and a promise to build a go kart in the coming months.
I have secretly started some design work. Since it will mostly...
What about an electric golf kart? You can get those used for pretty cheap and they are not too fast.
I'd start with the guts of an electric bike kit, controller, batteries etc and power a small go kart.
Just ordered a predator 212 engine and a live axle kit from go powersports. Planning to give to my son for Xmas and build with him an off road kart/buggy. Will design with him after Xmas and fabricate most of the rest of the kart from tubing and sheet metal.
