Just checked the mail and my trusty HF add showed up with a coupon for the 6.5 HP horizontal shaft motor for $119........Time to start checking the mail guys...:cheers2:
plywood and vinyl....
Alot cheaper than buying a ready made one:
The one I made I used foam from Walmart ($5), a piece of vinyl ($3), spray glue ($8), a piece of plywood(free- it was laying around the garage). I cut the plywood to fit-added the fasteners ($2). I sprayglued the foam padding...
I have the band/drum style brake on my kart....it sqeeks something fierce when i hit the brakes. Is this just nature of the beast?
Today I found out what happens if I set the cable too tight.......in the middle of an emergency braking manuver- the cable snaps:furious2:
Now that I have...
I can vouch for that.....
bought a set of HF wheels...had to replace the tires and bearings....spent more on bearing than I did the wheels.....may be better to hunt around. My $10 HF wheels/tires wound up costing me $60 ($15 for bearings and $35 for tires- good news is that I now have 2...

I have a pair of Manco Aluminum 5" front wheels. The tires are dry rotted and worthless. The wheels could stand a good cleaning. Do not appear to have any damage or cracks.
I would really like to trade for a pair of 6" live axle steel wheels or a set of good used or new 145 70 6 knobby...
I have a pair of Aluminum Manco wheels...
They were on the red kart when I got it. the tires are garbage, but the wheels look to be in good shape...will post a classified sometime this week...I am looking to either sell or trade....I need a pair of Live Axle 6" wheels.
I got this Dingo for free- motor was seized and the torque converter is questionable at best, the tires are dryrotted and won't hold air....It needs a complete restore.
I am considering ditching the torque converter by running the same size wheels front and rear (ditching the rear 8 inch wheels...
