I need rear wheels and tires for a live axle and am having a hard time finding something cheap. This set would be awesome, except it will cost me $35 to get them shipped to me, and $90 is a bit more than I would like to spend. I have been looking on Craigslist in my area (VT, NH, MA), but haven't found anything yet. These Harbor Freight ones do not have keyways, but I am hoping that for $10 each, I won't feel bad doing a little modification...
Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks!

if u find something similar to the hf ones, u can drill a hole through them+ the axle and put a bolt through

if you're going to use the harbor frieght ones make sure you weld over the factory weld around the bearing holder. i've had these crack on my kart a couple times.

Get the keyed hubs and bolt all the golf cart wheels you want to them. That is what I use on my tractor. I am using a 1" live axle. Golf cart wheels are a dime a dozen or free from your local golf cart repair shop( used of course). I get dozens from my local shop. I remove the tires myself and dispose of the old tires.Scott

Also, the hubs you want should have a 4 on 4" bolt pattern. Scott. You can probably find these for 3/4" axles. Also, the larger wheel in the picture is from a lawn mower with a 1" by 1/4" keyed shaft. Not cheep but available. Also in 3/4". Look to a lawn mower repair shop for these and maybe you can find a bargin on a used pair.Scott

GREAT NEWS! Killlthewhelp::: I was out in my shop today and found a pair of them 3/4" (shaft)keyed wheels you are looking for! They are the same size as the golf karts so you can put up to, 12" wide by 26" tall, balloon tires if you desire. They are in excellent condition and it looks to be keyed 3/16" as they all are for riding lawn mowers. Here are the pics. Let me know if you want these. The wheels are 7" bead to bead and I showed you a golf kart wheel comparison. I will also show you tires I have on the same size wheels so you get an idea of what you can use. Also, these are heavy duty wheels to take abuse. Talk laterz. Scott

I can vouch for that.....

HF tires/rims=suicide/waste of $$$

bought a set of HF wheels...had to replace the tires and bearings....spent more on bearing than I did the wheels.....may be better to hunt around. My $10 HF wheels/tires wound up costing me $60 ($15 for bearings and $35 for tires- good news is that I now have 2 spare tubes....)in the end to have a decent set of wheels.

Killthewhelp has already bought his tires and wheels, so I will leave the pics there in case anyone needs a nice set of wheels. They came off a Yard King lawn mower. Scott
