Side Project: Mini 3-Wheeler (pics) like i said before, thinken solid axle from a lawnmower, or fabricating one. weve also got an old kart motor, i think 100cc, gonna put that on here.

thats my issue as well. very heavy. im looking through a couple junkyards to find a suitable lawnmower axle, if i can. if not, fabricate one. and ill have pictures up tomorrow. to dark for pics now.

replacing the sprocket was the conclusion i came to as well. and jackshaft would be a good plan B, thanks. and im not really needing speed for this, just acceleration. another question, steel or aluminum axle, it needs to be durable, offroad worthy yah know. haha.:wai:

so i know this has nothing to do with karts, but i found one of those mini motorcycles in the garbage a couple weeks ago. got it running, fixed it up and mad it look nice. well i just happened to have two offroad 4wheeler tires the same size as the mini bikes, and i want to put them on the bike...

im loving the frame and the how well built it looks. it said 75" width, it seems wide to me, but are they all around that? the independent suspension is definitely a must, but i know shocks at that length are in the 1400$ range. is there any way to lower the shock tower on the frame to support a...

ive fabricated frames for dunebuggies, 1600cc motors on em, and built the motors on em myself. and budget isnt gonna be to much of an issue. i want to make a custom kart, one seater, obviously offroad, and be able to take hit comin off them dunes. thanks!

i go to the silverlake dunes all the time and see these offroad karts and i want to build one. ive ridden dirtbikes and 4wheelers my entire life, and workon them all the time. so im familiar with alot of what makes these karts. however i dont know where to start or what plans or much else about...
