My colleague Christian S revised the predator template image that was posted on this forum. It seems that when the original was printed it came out smaller that what it actually was.
The image was blown up just a bit to be the exact size. Just print out and center punch the holes.
After you...
Yeah the bearings on the silver hub were not very good to start off with. the black one i got from my dad.
the black hub's bearings have "NTNSC0228Ncanada" laser etched into the outer race and "SCO228L" on the red sealed part. the pic i found looks exactly like them. they have this C clip so...
Hey guys.
so my mini bikes wheel hub/sprocket assemblies bearings are pretty much shot. I was able to get some real nice hubs from my dad. he jjust had them sitting around!!!
anyways. the bolt pattern is smaller on the new hubs than the old wheel, they match up to the sprocket and i was...
lol well... ive never built a mini bike before and im just kind of winging it. pretty much copying a doodle bug. i wouldnt object to using bearings... i was considering bushings... but im just trying to keep the cost down
Im trying to plan out the neck of my mini bike. can i get away with using black gas pipe. like an 1" diameter then putting a bolt through the middle?
if not what do you guys suggest? material sourced from a lowes, HD is preferred.
id say check all the o-rings, boots from head to carbs, gaskets and diaphrams. simple stuff like cruddy seals can lead to leaks and tuning headaches. sometimes these parts can cost big money.
the previous owner of my 83 suzuki gs750e ripped all 4 of the diaphrams and just those alone set me...
oh wow! see i've been doing a lot of forum surfing before i joined here and i was under the impression(from some posts ive read) that the clutch couldnt be hanging off the shaft.
knowing this now i guess im gonna ditch the jack shaft. im so glad i joined. thanks guys!
ah ok. so it the air vane isnt a part of the carb itself. thats what i was thinking. A quick google search tells me its controlled by the air blowing off those cooling fin thingys lol.
Honestly i havent had the side cover off the motor yet as i was planning on just getting a 212 predator...
Oh wow. I'm not a stranger to HF quality but I assumed the tires would be ok.
Could you recommend a wheel? Well I can just do a search myself. A hub with an integrated brake would be cool. I was thinking about using the rear sprocket at a rotor
I was gonna use harbor freight wheels... still cant decide on a size for the back. its either 10in or 13in.
i was thinking instead of doing like a 1 to 1 on the motor to jack shaft. i could gear that a little high to keep the rpms up. like 12t to 15t then like a 15t clutch to the 60t sprocket
Hello all... so im building a mini bike. just something out of 3/4 12ga box tube...I have a motor out of a toro snow blower. its an R Tek 2 stroke 141 cc 5hp.
the manual says the engine is governed at 3800 rpm by "air vane"
does this mean there is no internal one in the motor and its limiter...
