Installing PTO bearing?

So I've been stalled for quite a while on my Briggs build-up due to the fact it has a pto side crank bearing. How do I go about installing the **** thing? It is press fit, but obviously I can't stick my engine in a press. Any suggestions?

Chill the bearing and heat the case before install. You should be able to tap it in with a rubber mallet after that.

I guess I should've been more specific; it needs to be pressed onto the crank. How should I heat the bearing without damaging it?

Try sticking the crank in the freezer over night and then try, you may be able to safely heat up the bearing but I have no clue. Or you could just bring the crank and bearing to a machine shop and they could do it.

That would be my recommendation,

Heat the bearing at 400*F in the oven for 10 minutes and chill the crank to about 25-30*F. The bearing will almost slide on but move fast because you only have about 3 seconds to work with it. Ensure there are no burrs anywhere on the crank/bearing and apply light oil to the crank where the bearing will slide on.

I can't really do it with the crank out, because the cam gear ends up sandwiched behind the bearing. I'll see if I can't jam the whole thing in the freezer for a while..
Wait, it is -18* outside. Screw the freezer haha.

Should be able to do it with the crankshaft removed from the block?
