I would like to know how much you spent on designing your :auto: Kart and how long it took you.

The reason that I am asking is that I am planing on building one but I am not sure how much it is going to cost and how long it's going to take. I am going to build it from scratch.

By the way please post pic of you finished project or work in progress. :useless:

around $2k and its about 90 percent done, drivable though. mines more mini buggy than go cart, plus its built to run with ATV's (a little underpowered to keep up based on power to weight, but it does pretty well on the trail due to correct gearing)

PS - if I'd paid retail I for most of my parts it would have been over $3500 easily by now.. so take the time to collect your parts and find the good deals on what you need.

First and (as of now) my only kart.

I spent about $250-$300 (I'd hate to know the actual amount) and about 2 weeks total to build everything from the ground up, including welding together the frame.
