Whoa. I just went to the beginning and saw that there was stranded cable on one of the pedals (I assume it was the throttle but who knows). You've got to pay real close attention or you might miss something. šŸ™ƒ

I would add the missing bolts on the side/sump cover. There’s a reason they are there but it would be better if one bolt was missing between two instead of two in a row. It happens sometimes with engines that get used a lot, the bolts, screws and nuts sometimes rattle off but I think the previous owner named Bubba is at fault.

If you want to get into the engine and remove the governor, you will likely need a new sump cover gasket and you might as well get the two (or more) missing bolts.

It’s possible there’s too much pedal throw, causing the pedals to hit the tie rod linkages but it might be due to the pedal rubber being missing. It’s ā€œpedal 21544ā€. I looked at the diagrams and I cannot see any pedal stops built into the kart frame so you may need to limit the pedal throw, take up the slack, anchor the cable sheath and add a pedal stop of some kind.

Downhill speeds don’t count. āŒ
