I can send ya 5 lbs of steel balls, if ya want.
Hey T,

I'm open to anything that "gets the job done" :cheers2:

Still "baffles" me as to "why?"
...so, I'ma maybe bend a few "test pieces" with the seam in different orientations

Like, straight up ~12:00
...around 45* or ~1:30
...sideways ~3:00
...around 45* or ~4:30
...& straight down ~6:00
&
Will report...back

In the meantime/while I'ma doin' that, here is a video with lots more low speed aero info (top speed ~80KPH or ~50MPH)

The FSAE racer, in the video has
...rear wheel drive
...an inboard motor
...no traction control
...&/or stability control (same as my racers) ;)

* Notables to watch for
Low speed aero DF @~1:10
Tire deflection @~3:15
Easy car to drive @~5:50
Aero DF not really noticeable @~6:15
Tire deflection (commentary) @~6:45
No fitted seat (commentary) @~6:57 (see why a fitted seat is...better)
Leg bruises (commentary) @~7:05 (the driver was trying to "brace" himself, with his legs, due to a non-fitted seat)

Aero interview :geek:
Nose aero @~10:00
Side pod aero @~15:00
Rear wing aero @~16:00
Diffuser aero info @~18:00

More of "The Weave"

* Bouncin' around & try-n-ta-cover several different topics
...then, try-n-bring 'em all together, in the end :sifone:

I saw this in Possom Point's Mini monster truck rebuild
...& kinda like the "molded in" seat concept

Thinkin' I might try-n-incorporate it into, the cockpit of, the monocoque, that I'ma workin' on ;)
SAM_6696 (2).JPG
* Not the curvy inner fenders
...just the seat ;)

Seems "doable" :cheers2:
