Hey everyone, I joined this forum searching for advice on how to engine swap a Briggs and Stratton Fun Power gokart with a GX160 from a pressure washer. Can it be done? Let's keep this forum alive.

Show us pics of the engine. Is it still attached to the pressure washer? We need to see the output shaft
Here's a photo, it had a key way that would fit onto the shaft in the photo and the water pump.

You can fit a centrifugal clutch or a CVT to that engine, no problem. Clean up that shaft with some emery paper or steel wool. Don't use steel wool on while it's running though, unless you are tired of your fingers.
Where can I buy one ? And would it already come with the sprocket and a keyway inside of it? Also the shaft is not directly above the big sprocket on the axle.

Briggs and Stratton Fun Power gokart

No such thing as a "Briggs and Stratton Fun Power go kart".
Briggs just makes engines (for the most part) and never made karts. The Fun Power is just a line of engines that were optimized for go karts and minibikes.

Here is the go-kart in question. I lined the clutch up to the axle sprocket. Rebuilt and cleaned the carb. Tomorrow I gas up and go! Hopefully... I also still need to find a way to link up the throttle cable to this gx160 off of a pressure washer.

Very interesting. There are two of these "Eagle II" karts now on the forum. I have never heard of them before and don't know the brand or manufacturer's name but they may be fairly common in real life.

If you can find words on the kart that says "Inc." or "Co." let us know what else it says.

You can always "give it a reach around" and operate the throttle with your arm behind the seat. :cornut:
Keep the Briggs and fix it up!

Otherwise, this video should show how it is on most Honda and clone engines. You can pull the throttle lever from two different directions, actually.. (from the rear and from the side near the carburetor)
