Lol, Yeah your engine does 11,000 RPM but it is very smooth and well balance out. The Rhino is a single cylinder big bore big stroke high compression motor with a huge cam. I've seen in person a straight piped Hayabusa and it wasn't nearly as bumpy and loud as a real drag engine. Anyway, Welcome back and nice kart!

EDIT: I don't personally believe on a 4 cycle engine wrapping the header is really going to make much of a difference.

i heard on heymow somewhere that it will increase hp a little bit. my guess is cause it keeps the heat inside the exhaust and that makes it flow better or something.

well with them racing mowers they do so many small things that it all builds up like runnin a coil through a coffe can with anti freeze and dry ice. into the carb and acctualy start gettin the carb to ice up.

suckin cold air in constantly makes the air colder i think it has something to do with the compression or vacume of it or something

How is that?

Now I'm no scientist, But as the fuel atomizes in the intake it absorbs energy like Model said. Dip your hand in Methanol and pull it out to the atmosphere and see what if feels like. Don't do this if you have any cuts on your hands or else you will be feelin' more then a lil cold.

When air passes through a restriction (like a venturi), it is compressed, it also creates a vacuum at the back end of the venturi, (where the fuel is added), and as it expands again, it cools, if you've seen a carb ice up, it happens at the back end of the venturi. ;)

Cheers robin, I'm planning on adding some supports for them. Probably something with clamps because I don't want to grind off any more paint than I have to.

Thanks for the support everyone.

not to be a nerd here but when the air passes throught the venturi the velocity of the air increases and the pressure drops not rises. thats what pulls the fuel through the jet. speeding the air takes energy so some of the thermal energy of the air is converted into that. the evaporation of the fuel helps cool it down too.

I do manage to get my twin's intake frosted on a cold night, it just is moving that much air inside it
