Progress is going to be a little slow. I don't get a lot of time to work on this thing. So I'm going to start getting it broke. Down and clean up the frame first. Especially now that yall expect a powder puff style paint job haha.

My project was very slow at the beginning and still is. I have a majority of parts now, but I still don't have much time

Did a parts grab when the wife wasn't looking. Lol. I bought everything for the back end of the buggy. Engine, shocks, rims, tires, live axel kit (to save the headache of figuring out how to flip my current axel).
I even bought a flux core wire feed welder to fab up something for the different engine to sit on.
I even have the materials to refinish the seat. But now it's time... I have to find the time. Ugh. Apparently it's frowned upon to tinker with my toys all day on a Saturday with the wife and kids sitting around looking at me. Lmao

Get them involved! Make them do stuff, that’s how they’ll learn. This way your kids and ex-wife can be self sufficient when she divorces you! Think of the memories you’ll make!

Oh... trust me. I don't miss a chance to teach them something about tools. I have 3 girls and don't want them at anyone's mercy when it comes to fixing things

Swing arm is off, it's been stripped of rust and primed. I took off the axel and caliper. I also removed the "spoiler" thing on the back. Ground off all l the stickers and rust and primed that too.
The gas tank is in good shape so I pulled it off and put it on the shelf with the axel and rear shocks. Who knows what I will need those for. Maybe turn the 1 wheel peel to a live axel. Ha.

Some pics of progress. The battery box is coming off so I didn't clean it or paint it

Clean and paint it. You’ll need it for the electric start for the 420.
I think im going to have to move it to get the motor to fit. If I have to move it I will try to clean it up and see how much material is still there. It has some extensive rust on that part.

Pulled the seat and seat bracket off. The material essentially disintegrated. And the plywood was dust. So that went into the trash.
I cleaned up the rust on the bracket and found a Crack in the bend of the seat bracket. So I will weld that.
The part that allows you to slide the seat forward and back is completely corroded. I'm going to replace that with some steel square tubing and make it a fixed seat. I'm not getting fancy.

so I went to install the 40 series on the new predator 459 tonight. from the videos I have seen, I have installed the drive pully the way they show. but the belt won't line up. if I flip the drive pully it lines up. you can see in the pics. any advice? can I install it in the orientation that the belt would be lined up or is there something I need to do differently?
