2019 Build Off Winner!
@karl ,@Flyinhillbilly , I'm putting together the Raptor with the parts you guys sent, but I've run into an issue.
I'm installing the head studs, but I need to know what the thread pattern is on the threads. On the corner of the exhaust port, the stud gets stuck about 11 threads down. Visually it looks like the threads are ok but some dirt got up in it. I don't have 2 nuts of the right size to put much force on the stud, so I tried using one of the acorn nuts to tighten down the stud to see if it was just a sticky spot, and long story short, it's no longer an acorn nut. It's so stuck that it punched the cap portion of the nut out. I was able to turn the stud back out with pliers, but the sticky spot is still there.
I do not have a thread tap in the correct size, I need to know what size the head bolts are. Then I can get a tap and 2 nuts to finish the job.
Other than that, I think it's ready to go together and run. I slapped the 28mm PWK flatslide on the Hothead to run as a testbed, so I know that it's tuned well enough to run, and I've got all the other parts ready to go on the bench. Once I can get the head secured it should be ready to run.
