Not relevant to my car, but I've been helping my friend work on his 1977 Dodge Good Times van. It's got the bubble windows, swiveling seats, sink, shag carpet, everything.:roflol:

He's my friend, they don't care; neither do I. Plus he supplies me with parts and lets me use his tools, and helps me with projects. They also drove a 100 mile round trip to pick up my truck with me, so it evens out.

The "Barter System" is the best. I have several friends I trade with and when I need 4-5 big guys to do something large, I call in all the favors at once to put together a "crew".

The last set of favors I called in was when I needed to dig up the lawn to about 4' down to run new 6" drainage pipes to the cistern. Five guys with shovels and strong backs made this easy work for me, since my back is shot and I simply "supervised".

Barter is great.

Started working on it today.

It's been sitting at least 8-10 years. There is some rust in the bed and lower rear quarters, and a little, er, tree damage to the roof of the cab. Some engine parts were stolen whilst it was sitting at my property in the middle of nowhere for a few years; working on getting those replaced.
