I’m 23 I always wanted a go kart as a kid and now I finally have one. I paid $50 for it. It just needed a tune up and throttle cable. A few parts are kind of worn and it’s time to get some new ones such as brakes, chain and sprockets. But I’m having a hard time trying to find out what kind of go kart I have. All I know is that it’s a Manco Fox 2 with a robins EX17 motor. Where the serial number and model number was at has faded away so I’m stuck. Hopefully someone can tell me the model I have from the pictures I have posted

You need some pool noodles on your roll hoop, little dude. :D

Your dad and I want you to be safe 24/7. Do you have a full face helmet?

EDIT: my fave noodle color is neon green. Guaranteed to add 20% more BHP!

The roll hoop is probably coming off in about a month anyway.
And yes I have a full face helmet, a DOT approved motorcycle one.
Thank goodness I also have uncommon sense when driving it.
For example, either today or yesterday:
Little kid, on a pocket bike, shorts and a t-shirt, no helmet, about to go onto a fairly busy two lane road, an uneven one, with ditches on either side.
I almost wish I had called the cops on that kid to have them confiscate the bike, but at the same time, I don't want the cops to confiscate my kart. :(
But yeah, that kid was very stupid.
I've also seen that same kid riding around the 'hood at high speed, with another kid(probably a sibling) on the back of a kid's ATV, both with no helmets.
Stupid.

I got a rather rude note about it being illegal for me to rids my karts down the street. And I wear a helmet and drive reasonably if not a little bit fast. And the best part: I don't even ride past them when I go down the street.
I now just go to my friends' houses about every other week and wear the crap out of my tires.

Did they actually leave a hand written note on paper?

Where did they leave it?
You might be able to warn them about trespassing and littering...

I put them noodles on there for the look and because they was only a dollar and because I ride on the edge of cotton fields which is pretty bumpy because tractors drive on them. And sometimes a little kid wants to ride on it with me.

Darwin...it'll handle itself, just stay clear and don't let any get on you. You probably never see their parents around right? Think about it and let it set in for a minute.

Murphy's Law...if Darwin isn't working fast enough for you because you are impatient and the green pool noodles aren't quite keeping you in your happy place you can always have an accident with your kart...oops...must be my ptsd kicking in again...**** green pool noodles and smelly pocket bikes...

But on a more serious note, why are you cruising the 'hood' on your Kart? You trying to find a side chick bruh? I mean Im good with it, you just need to be careful cause I thought your cart only had a single seat right?

I'd ride it anyway. At least until someone important told me to stop. Like maybe the cops.

Since one lives across the road from me, although he does not work for the jurisdiction I live in, hasn't said anything to the contrary, I don't see it an issue. But YMMV. He asked me one day why was I always fooling with the things. I said because I was having fun...he laughed and said you know you look like you are having fun. I said dude, you are more than welcome to go ripping any time you want...it's a great stress reliever and a pure blast. He said he would when his back got to feeling better. I hope he does.

I'd of hopped on my raptor 660 and done some burnouts and donuts in their driveway. Were they with the home owners association?

It was really that he was threatening to call the police on my parents for letting "a minor drive a motorised vehicle down a public road" my parents said that no you can't ride. More like they don't wanna get poloce called on 'em. I've finished my hijacking now lol.

I went over to an old friends house who I haven’t seen in awhile who lives a few towns over. We was walking around his yard talking and I seen a go kart with weeds growing around it. I asked him what’s wrong with it. He said it needs a throttle cable you can get it for $50 dollars. Since I’ve had it I’ve got a new air filter, bought a new carb for $15, new throttle cable, changed the oil, put grease on everything that moves, put a new fuel filter on it and cleaned the gas tank out. Now it’s tome for a new chain and sprocket. I’m looking for something that pulls better than taking off because the places I ride aren’t flat. And new brakes and tires. After that it’ll be where I want it to be.
