Pate Swap Meet 2019 |Met Carsandcameras!

I went to Pate Swap Meet 2019!
For $70 total, I got a hot rod wagon, and for my Briggs: a chain guard, a header($10 in those 2 parts, everything else was FREE!), a Mikuni pulse fuel pump, a spare pull starter assembly, and three Briggs intake/exhaust gaskets.
I met John and Ike from Carsandcameras, Daniel and Jason from Build Break Repeat, and Dennis from Go Kart Alley(A.K.A Orange Krate on here). I also saw but didn't personally meet: Greg and Braxton from Red Beard's Garage, Chris from ratherBwelding, and Grant from KartFab!
Oh yeah, and:
I SAT ON THE RBG DRAG MINIBIKE!
I know the audio quality is poor and the format is weird, but it's the best I could figure out.

The swap meet was very much fun. Saw all those guys but they all had their hands full with fans I just walked around and admired the cool toys.

Grant, your Thunderbird was awesome... I spend lots of time admiring that machine and all the custom touches. That chain guard looked very heavy duty. Wish I had a chance to talk to you but you were quite a busy man.

Anyone else these see the jet barstool kart? Shaweet!

I didn't go, but I did watch Grant's video as well as a couple others. The race karts with snowmobile engines look like major death traps, but so much fun.

Battery was dying on my camera, otherwise I would have trued to film more.

I’m not the most approachable guy since I am an introvert believe it or not. Next year just come up and say hi.

Thanks for the kind words about my little Manco. It’s a fun little street cruiser.

Now those snowmobile go karts were the fastest things I have ever ridden. I did a couple 360s on them and zipped up and down the lot after 5 pm. Very scary and very fun!!! The guy that made them was kind enough to let complete strangers like us ride them. Huge snowmobile torque converters with high stall speeds. 2 stroke water cooled 120 hp.

To answer yo questions in order:
Yes I saw the jet barstool kart
Yes there were a ton of frames and mostly complete stuff
And AAAAGH! THE PAIN!
My dad persuaded me to leave around 2 PM, but if I had known I could've had a chance to ride 120 HP karts, I would have stayed for sure!

One of these days I'll make the journey there. But I don't think that I would ever ride a 120hp gokart. I've already almost killed myself in my 6.5hp kart.

I just looked up this swap meet, I had no idea it was at Texas Motor Speedway. It's 45 minutes away! To bad I was moving to our new house this weekend, would of loved to go!

Got to say, I hope the guy letting people ride his 120hp stuff is careful and selective with who is or is not allowed to drive. Someone (kids even more so) could get extremely hurt or even killed on one of those, and then that would be very bad for the owner and the event!
