Gas in the oil???

So i got a baja warrior and its destroyed but the engine wont start because gas isnt staying in the cylinder long enough and its smoking when i drained the oil it gushed out murky gray sludge that smelt like gas are my piston rings blown??

And your rings could be bad. And/or it's leaking through the valvetrain, and/or your cylinder wall is damaged.
I know, it's depressing.

Does it have compression????.....
If so... change the oil... giver a go again...
These engines have a problem with seepage as the float doesnt always stop the flow of gas from the carb to the block....Need to use the petcock always...

I had one that drained the 3/4 of a tank into the crankcase... was doing a test run... saw oil ****ing all over the place from the bung.... check out what the problem is, shot the oil cap across the room from the pressure and came overflowing.....
Later, Changed the oil and still good to go.....

Start with replacing the valve seat and needle, and if that doesn't work, then report back to us.

Most likely ya... I just keep it off till I need it... And try not to forget...

But still..... like I said... does it have compression?...

JT- I think you need to look up more on clone and other carbs.... These dont have replaceable float valve seats...

Really?? That seems flawed.
As for looking it up, I will whenever I someday get a clone engine.

A whole new carb costs $11. That's cheaper than most carb rebuild kits.

It's like printers. The ink cartridges cost more than a new printer, which comes with ink cartridges.

Hmm, well, uhm, hmm, you have a point.
That's a sharp contrast to my Briggs, where a new carb is like ~$80!!!
That's basically Subaru price!
Anyway, let's see what Trevor can do with it.

JT- Like I said...go Bronda and youll have less problems... but thats way outside your apparent skill level...
I have a #14 briggs, similar to your motor, and the carbs are about the same on that... It would be easier for me to fit and re-jet a carb off of my buddies Model A then to find a carb for the Briggs I have......
When I get to it Bronda it will be...

BudGK- check the little things first... they arent all that difficult and they follow some standard patterns of faults...

I FIXED IT the valve thingy was stuck so i pried it out with two flatheads and then cleaned gunk from the carb

Keep the petcock closed, run it dry to minimize the gunk build up when sitting...

After a test ride later today im going to clean it again because i cleaned it enough to start but theres still jello all in it but my grandpa will be going to Oshkosh so its gotta be done by then

You can buy a can of carb cleaner at any auto parts store for ~$3. And I'm glad you tracked down the problem to the needle valve.
