New carb new plug new gas

I've been checking since we bought a gauge a few years ago, and i haven't had to adjust one yet.
Can't believe that was the problem? Have to ask was the plug dropped or in a damaged package? Even factory error in the gap would not cause a no start.

I agree. Like Hellion said as a kid I was taught how to check and that I should check. But never do and Like Bob never have an issue.

The engine should have still run. Spark gap is "tuning"
I am concerned in this case there may have been and still potentially is a short or loose wire that was bumped in the process of Removing and reinstalling the plug.
Could even be the plug wire and boot was not pushed on all the way.

My concern would be why was the gap closed up? If it was dropped at some point, fair enough but, if it manages to close again, you may have an interference issue... keep an eye on it...
