Our next one will have an extended section for a bigger engine and our torque converter kit.

We might sell the frame complete but most likely it will come as a kit you will have to weld together yourself. It will be easier to ship and cost less. but at least everything will be pre cut and bent.

Awsome that is the coolest news I have heard in a long time!:wai:

Beats the heck out of the Azuza Frame kits sold at Northern Tool.

You know, I would have never thought to ask if you (GPS) would be producing anything you present here as a one-off build. But if you made a go at this in kit form, we might see the classic kart chassis make a comeback!

Can you tell us the wheel and tire type and sizes, front and rear? I rarely see tires and wheels mounted up and looking like they're supposed to look on an actual kart and they are hard to visualize otherwise, but they look nice.

Failbook is for teenage girls and bored housewives. :ack2:

Not to mention a horrible format for following a build or something. No thanks.

The front tires are a 13x500-6 slick and the rear are 13x650-6 slicks

The front wheels are our KD6FL wheels and the back are the KD6LA wheels

The predator engine was an easy install and after filling it with gas and oil it started right up.

That is a cool machine....
Could you post more pic of the brake setup you have.
I quite cant tell if you have a rod or a cable setup to actuate the brake?....

I imagine you have the parts for the brake setup at your store?

Looks like it is an all-cable setup (when viewing the footage on You-Tube).

Although Manco typically used a rod to actuate the brakes, regardless if it was a drum or mechanical disc brake.

Nifty.

The original manco's had a great bit of ackerman going on, did you include this geometry with the kit, or did you just go straight axle, camber & caster?

The brake is on a hybrid system. It has a cable that attaches to a short rod. (the brake cable was not long enough since we increased the length of the kart by 6 inches).

I will post pictures soon of it for you.

I think they get all their parts from BMI.:sarcasm:

Who?
What does Body Mass Index have to do with Karts?
Are you asking if it will haul around a Fat Lady?

It's what drives the shipping costs up.

Any plans for another swap meet?

May I take the lack of response as : "No plans at this particular time?"

I kinda like to know....because during an election year...my campaign itinerary is quite structured and it's sometimes difficult to juggle commitments.

we did not use ackerman steering, we went with straight axle tube and do not have any caster or camber. It actually turns sharper and better than the American express/dingo with ackerman steering. We are going to shorten the pitman arm on next version I think it steers a little to fast.

the plan is to have a cable made that will be long enough for a variety of karts and applications. Then we will offer a brake kit that will include the caliper, disc, bracket, cable and pedal

I would have opted for hydraulic brakes, they seem to be a bit more hassle free in setup, outside of bleeding them. But I agree, this would be a much better kit than the one from Northern Tool. And I do like that if you are going to ship it as one that has all the cuts and bending already done. Right there is majority of the work done. Welding doesn't take much more than an hour at most.

I wouldn't trust a Harbor Freight tube bender to save my life if doing multiple bends. I'd either build my own, buy a higher quality one or have a shop do it for me. Or even do a ton of cutting and welding for the bend I need.
