"DIYGOKARTS" is the Coupon Code at GoPowerSports.com 10% off at checkout online.

I also use the angle finder to set the miter with the blade. Good tip.

Too bad the Chop saw does not come with its own built in "lazer". Some of the newer wood saws do.

Well...let us know how that goes....I personally try to promote them as much as possible...but...they made the offer...and I expect them to honor it if they want my continued support.

As of today they honor it!

Well it's after 7:30 and UPS still hasn't delivered more of my parts. Tracking shows on the truck for delivery. They working late tonight. I got my suspension block welded together today. Waiting on my spindles so I can weld it to the frame.

I got some parts in today. I just about got everything for my build. Most of it came from BMI, they have everything at a reasonable price. I started a thread about the Comet reverse gearbox and nobody replied. Well, I will be able to review it because I bought one. I can tell you that the 40 series torque converter is a beast. It weights about 40lb. I hope to get major progress this weekend.

Well...BMI always has low prices...but just out of curiosity....how much was shipping?

Well, I've put like 5 orders in with them and shipping is not great. The seats I ordered came with some other parts and that order was $127.00 shipping. I'll dig up a couple orders tomorrow and post for everybody to see. What do you think about the yellow and black seat covers? It looks like everyone who has done this build went red and black, so I'm doing yellow and black.

On another note, has anyone ordered from Desertkarts? I ordered a rack and pinion on the 11th and their site still shows my order pending. Not sure why, they've already charged my credit card.

I like the black and yella!
Why Does everything always have to be red? I have 3 different parts now, well 7 counting 4 wheels. that came RED! and Now have to be painted. No reason to be trendy:thumbsup:

Soooo...go back and shop GoPowersports and total up parts cost AND shipping...then figure in a 10% discount.....:surrender:

This is a great idea, all though BMI has some things that Go Power don't carry like that aluminum brake caliper and a few other items. Going to the automotive paint store today to have that yellow in my seat covers paint matched, I got this build!!

Today was a good day. I got the roll cage on and the sub frame built. I wanted to install my axle but apparently I didn't order any bearing flanges to mount the bearings in to the hangers. I checked Tractor Supply and they had everything but what I needed.

I opened my Predator 420 today and looked through the owners manual. I need to find a solution for charging a battery to run the LED lights I'm going to install. When I read the manual online, there was a stator shown in the parts list. Looking in mine, it's a charge coil. It looks like the Honda coil. I'm going to order a larger one to see if it will fit. I'm still waiting on the rack and pinion I ordered on the 11th. I sent Desert Karts an email inquiring but they never responded.

Got the cross member in for the dash today. I sure am glad that I extended the frame 6'' longer. I wish I had went 10'' after sitting in it today. It's not too cramped. I'm waiting on more parts for the steering so I can finally get that working. I ordered tires and rim on Friday, I went with the Kenda Scorpion tires, 18''X9.50-8. I hope it will steer easy. I think with the rack and pinion it should. I'm not sure I'll like them. Anyone have them? What's the wear like on the pavement?

Well I've had some down time waiting on parts. I picked up an old Carter go kart to restore and sell to help pay for my build. It came with 2 engines, one Briggs 5hp and a Enduro that's missing the carb. The centrifugal clutch had a pully instead of a chain. The clutch drives a jack shaft with a pulley on one end and a chain at the other for the drive tire. I'm adding a sprocket and doing away with the pulley. Everything has been reusable but the tires, clutch, bearings and seat covers.

So I decided to trick out my 420cc while I'm waiting. Apparently all that Harbor Freight carries now it the EPA engine. Everything about it is different. I ordered a top plate and had to make modifications for it to fit. I pulled all the filter crap off of it because I'm mounting an 8 gallon aluminum fuel cell. I went to add stiffer valve springs and the ones I ordered didn't fit. I wonder if it's due to the change? The valve cover is different and the valves look like they are different. Anyone know if the GX390 flywheel will swap with this?
