I actually have a tube somewhere. They make a Testors non-fume or some crap in a blue tube that's citrus based.I didn't like it, but I couldn't find the original red tube stuff...

Then I found a small hobby shop that had it. I actually have a batmobile (original) model I need to finish. I got to putting decals on...and a couple of the pinstripe ones got messed up and I got frustrated.

So in the 10+ years I've been hauling **** the VERY first time ever I've managed to jack knife and bend the frame on one of my trucks hauling Datsun-San. (Shop slave) FYI: NEVER have a crappy old Dakota w/ a blown TC haul a 2.25 ton truck w/ another 4x8 trailer attached to it...
(I'm smack the exec for the DOT here...)

Other than that I popped some new GY-WR on it and the thing does real well for only 3.5 cyl...

So...some of you who follow my posts may recall this dopehead that complained about the way his yard looked after I mowed it when it was 2' high inbetween torrential downpours and with standing water....then borrowed a lawnmower from me, mowed half his yard, and then kept it 3 weeks in easy access for anyone to take....and never compensated me for the loan as promised...and didn't even replace the gas.

Well...he was getting evicted...so he just let the grass grow ....errr....weeds grow for 3 weeks. Then for some reason after he was evicted...broke back in after they changed the locks.

The police were called...and when they caught him....SURPRISE...SURPRISE...SURPRISE.....they found enough drugs so he is going to have an estimated 10 year vacation from freedom. I think society will weather the loss.

So kids...don't do drugs...this isn't even the worst that can happen...and there's no upside to the situation.

Anyway...I was talking to the make ready guys trying to get work and they told me all this.

Too bad for Him he was not in Ca. There is not enough space in a house to store enough drugs to get 10 years here!
Plus as far a Breaking and entering he would have got to stay on the grounds of "squatters Rights"

Well the guy probably has to go steal an air conditioner, harvest the copper out of all of the components, melt them all down and then fashion them into a sheet in the gauge you requested. Your need for instant gratification is inappropriate.

Well...I was talking to my neighbor...and he said he saw Sammy clawing at his car cover....

He said: Well...it's an old cover....I said : SCREW THAT!!!! There's a frigging Vette under that cover! If I catch him....(and I'll be looking out for it now)....He's going to get the fear of Poboy instilled in him so bad...he'll walk WAY around that Vette from then on....

I just verbally threatened him...and told him to quit stalking the Western Fence lizards....and he hasn't gone after one since...but he's gonna get threatened with a shoe...(and maybe hit with one!!!!!)

So.....picked up some 2×1 14ga. steel tubing today for my next project....

Dadgum truck overheated again....then on the way home....it started stumbling and losing power...then the check engine light came on.

I flipped the switch to the back tank...and it picked right back up....then I noticed the gas guage showed full...(which it was!) Thing is...on the front tank...it shows empty all the time.... :idea2:

....so it must be either in the tank or the wiring to the guage!!!!

Anyway...I REALLY would love to get the temp sorted out...(the steel is for a new rack for this truck.)

I gotta get the toolbox cut down so I can design the rack around it....(I may rip up some 2×4's)....so I can fab it up out of wood first....(cheaper and easier for me than steel!!!!!)

Kinda feeling a little bummed today as I think back on some of my old friends:

Tony: Tony was a smallish black man and my best friend for many years. Tony and I shared a common trait...either one of us could and would walk up to total strangers and have them walk away feeling good and giggling...no matter the circumstances.

We made friends out of total strangers in seconds....

Rusty and his dad were my friends for many years, too. His dad was crazier than Poboy....and after being VERY close to Rusty for many years...(don't even go there....I'm straight....sexually at least) ...I was surprised to find out he not only worked as a narcotics officer...but was a 3rd degree black belt.

I can't really go into Steve much...but he was my best friend and rhythm guitar player...and died much too soon....(under 20).

Sooo. I still have a few friends left....but...it's sad to ponder the loss of any...
