Now that's just plain mean. Funny... but mean. I really hope you become a nicer person once your nipples finish healing from yanking them stickers off. :::pokes you hard in the nipple::: And just because your old man saggy sack got tangled in your spurs, Cowboy, it doesn't give you the right to get on here and take it out on me.

Was that a little too far? I can never tell. This post might need approved by a moderator.

Ahhh....no sweat off my saggy sack! It's all good ....if it wasn't for mean...I wouldn't have no fun at all....(or was that....if it wasn't for bad luck....I wouldn't have no luck at all....I never can remember! )

This thread....

Lmao

{Larry The Cable Guy voice}-Lord, I apologize.... for hijacking freerunner's build thread and talking about sore nipples and saggy nut sacks getting stuck in spurs. And while I got you on the line, Lord... could you see what you can do about providing freerunner with a scatter shield in case there are innocent bystanders around when he blows up that poor little engine so much that it triggers a seismic event on the Richter scale sensors in the tri-county area? And be with the starving Pygmies down there in New Guinea. Amen.

Sorry, freerunner, for jacking your thread and the above comment about you blowing your engine up comparable to a mini nuke explosion. I really can't offer up an excuss for my behavior, only a heartfelt apology. Keep up the good work.

You, sir, possess a special kind of nonchalant evil, that, when combined with your delegable type encouragement, is humorously unconscionable. Atleast enourage him to design a proper scatter shield first! Lol

Thank you very much!!!:roflol:
I try.

SEE. Not a hijack. Planned Coup d'etat to save the Pygmies.

i need to know about belt shred:

does it only shred when too much horsepower is applied or a sudden jolt in RPM ?

Currently looking at blank sprockets i can drill my own holes in.
With 3600RPM + 12tooth driver+35 tooth driven i can do 55mph on 15inch tires.

i'm thinking a may possibly need a 40series TorqueVerter and/or a stronger gripping belt. Either way i don't think i would be gunning the throttle with that ratio unless i want to leave super impressive lines of rubber.

and i don't think i would dare go 92 mph at 6200rpm lol. Not 'til the frame gets more mods and minor suspension . and disc brakes.

ehhhmmm..matter of fact, looking at my gearing and 18pound springs being able to theoretically go 70mph..i'm just going to get a camshaft first. it isn't like i'll be mainly staying on the straights anyway.

May I suggest a rear spoiler for that beast. You will need all the downforce you can get to keep the old girl stable at those speeds. A pvc pipe frame and MDF as the spoiler, you know to keep weight down, and you're golden. At least I kept it tech.

i'm actually going to need more weight mostly distributed on the drive wheel.
i thought about a spoiler and it would look good too like a real drag kart But not those enormous ugly looking ones like at some tracks.
i would experiment with traction by putting two 80pound cement bags in the back and will experiment later with weight on the front so i can turn much better.

Racers do like to add 80 lb sacks of cement to go faster, NASCARS weight like 14,000 lbs

You definitely require more unicorn farts for your ambitious target

R u saying i should get an ebay exhaust that sounds like a giant bumble bee?

and there's a difference between non-functional R.I.C.E. and functional Tuner mods.

No dude.....

Adamantium jackshafts......... And 3 of them... At least.

Buy 'em for me. i'd rather spend on a camshaft and live axle with limited slip diff.

Screw the cam... get a seat, a proper throttle and brake, and a live axle before the supe-em-up stuff.

A properly designed spoiler is the way to go. It is a fact the faster you go the lighter the car gets in relation to the road. The rear spoiler on a top fuel dragster supplies over 3000 pounds of down force on the rear tires. In Indy cars the down force is even greater. Also have you looked into building a belt driven supercharger from a old smog pump. You will need the kind that uses an intake and exhaust port. Put the carb on the intake port of the smog pump and hook the exhaust port to the intake port in the head. There you have a simple draw through supercharger like a Jimmy 671. I believe you will need a ford smog pump for this. It will make about 10 lbs of boost. You should be able to reach all of you're goals then. :wai: You may need to upgrade to a 40 series cvt then though with all the power.

:) lol. i will look into that for sure.

---------- Post added at 10:17 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:31 PM ----------

..i would need a wastegate.. [EDIT,i think it does have one]
to vent the excess air/fuel pressure to have control of the throttle.

..would need extra fuel pressure..
don't want to run lean, that's for sure.
If done, would run a hose from the valve cover to the tank. may need a pressure restrictor or a pressure relief valve.

Would need to find a longer belt that's the same width and symmetrics of the Torque converter if you were thinking about using that belt to power it and think it would work.

---------- Post added at 10:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:17 PM ----------

Found one for $50 but cant really tell how much it weighs(at least 8 pounds) and the size ,but most importantly how would i rig it up to be belt driven? and by looking at it i imagine a big parasitic loss.

Okay after even further thought ..
even if i was able to get a longer TAV belt i would need to position the smog pump in the top-middle or the bottom-middle of the torque converter for it to work. It is just the mounting fabrication that will be time consuming and also the piping that will need to be designed.
Still worried about parasitic loss though(the tough ability for this thing to be turned) will rob power and most likely shred the belt quickly.

Did also find some electric ones but how long does a 12volt battery last while powering a smog pump?

No! Superchargers don't need a waste gate because they don't freespool like a turbo! I would look for v belt pulleys and use the recoil side as the pto ( get a long nut made with a shaft end) for the drive pulley. Being that it would be a draw through system you would not have to modify you're current fuel system just jet a little richer. Now if you went with a methanol nitro blend you would have to redo your fuel system to keep up. Than again with a nitro blend you could up the hp and torque a crazy amount. :wai:
So see it is easier and cheaper than you thought. As for parasitic loss there would be none since you are at least doubling your horsepower and torque (just on a gasoline powered engine).
