Well....there seems to be more and more things going haywire on my body every day....I almost destroyed my left bicep removing a paint roller cover from a roller????
So....for a little backstory....I once totaled a 1965 Falcon station wagon....(weep...weep...flow..full tears...gimme a second....).....Cough. cough..all better now...(I loved that car)....(Who wouldn't....as a teenager...it got nearly 30mpg...could top nearly 120mph..and had a bed for a back seat?
Soooo....anyway...when I totalled out this car...a pickup pulled out right in from of me....in the rain..and...I had no choice but to T-bone him.
Yeah....I kinda had that proverbial..."whole life beore your eyes thing"...but..it didn't get that far....
Really, I was busy calculating my best options.. Now....he was pulling out from a stop sign on my right...there were cars behind him.....soooo...trying to make a 90° turn @ 40mph without possibly involving serious injuries on totally uninvolved people was quickly dismissed.
Then....I thought about going left...(but the bridge went from one lane to two) ...and which is why this guy thought he could scoot into that right lane...and let the guy go by.....(which would have been fine....) excepting the fact there was a car going 40 mph in the rain less than 200' away
BTW: It's amazing how fast the mind can actually work in such circumstances.
Sooo.....to continue...as I said...there was a bridge behind that car....sooo...here were my choices....try to make a 90° turn at 40 mph in the rain without drifting into innocent bystanders....try to "shoot the gap" and go behind him.....which incidentally, meant missing the bridge and heading towards a 40' drop.....
Trying to go in front of him.....(now I have a car coming head on at 40Mph).....ummmm ....no!
So...I just tried to scrub speed off and T-boned him...(actually...some of the other options were slightly feasible....and I considered them....but at the last moment....I could just see this guy driving off....
Sooo....I nailed him the door post....in slow motion....I was sliding in the rain into the side of this truck.....then....boom....getting hit in the face with a baseball bat..
I woke up....looking at headlights heading toward me....my car had actually went from 40+ to 0 in 0 feet....I actually knocked that dummy all the way across the highway....(despite the fact that truck was much heavier) .....
Soooo....as I said....I totalled this car....my right hand decimated a bakelight knob on a. 3/16" steel spindle...(fortunately....only skinned my knuckle) ....
My chin hit. the steering wheel on the right side of my chin ....which turned my head to the left....then....I hit the curvre in the corner of the windshield....which turned my head back to the right.....(giving me whiplash) ....while cracking out the windshield.....
But....I literally walked away....and the tow truck driver commented on how he'd seen MANY fatalities in wrecks that weren't even as bad.....and my mom started crying when see saw the car....and said..."You could've been killed!" Ever the Poboy.....I responded: "Ya think , ma?"
So.... Friday....I was pulling a roller cover off a paint roller....and it kinda jerked off....and I did something to my left bicycle....it's FUBAR right now!!!!! Say WHAT???

JK...

When the wind doesn't blow and it's over 100° it's just like high humidity.
