Exactly! The winner is the machine that appeals the the majority of voters; it doesn't matter how fast it goes, how shiny it is or how long it took to build, it comes down to what the voters like!

Don't count yourself out just yet...

Ah that would explain it then lol.

You have just as much a chance of winning as everyone else does. Personally I like it, a lot. I might just vote for ya over my own lol.

made a chain tensioner outta some junk parts I had lying around. The chain is cutting into the roller already so I am gonna get one off ebay to toss on there.

With the rubber isolators you'll probably still need a tensioner....but you need to fix your alignment issue or your chains and sprockets aren't going to last very long.

DW, you have that tensioner on the wrong side of the chain, you want to install it on the non pull side of the chain or it will not work.

:smiley_omg: I totally missed that Brett, do you see the misalignment or no?

EDIT: Just so everyone can see what I see....Look at the frame and axle sprocket and see how nicely it aligns with the frame.....then look up towards the engine...(keep in mind, things get smaller further away) and compare the distances between the chain and frame.....

DOUBLE. EDIT: Ummmmm....The skewed wear lines one the tensioner should be the second clue....(and probably why they are there....)

Yup, words can come out wrong and be taken wrong, that happens sometimes, looks good,to get less wear on your tensioner and chain links one can make a roller that just rides on the chain rollers inside the links and also another small idler sprocket with a bearing inside but now that you have the tensioner in the right position it will be good to go and indeed your sprockets are aligned correctly and it must have been a illusion from the picture just like you said.

Sorry....still looks off to me...it would have been interesting to see a pic of a staightedge against the side of the rear sprocket touching the drive sprocket while you had it all tore apart....that would have proven something...

But its all good....it's not my chains or sprockets....so...I don't really care...I did my part to show what I thought might be a potential problem....it's on you now.
