got the throttle cable redone and remounted. works far better now. Tomorrow I'll remove the rubber spacers under the engine bolts and readjust for better chain tension. Then it's done until something breaks. Might make a chain guard of some sort too.

Sorry but, I have to catch you on a small technicality...

In your overview vid (which was very thorough BTW, thank you) the engine actually stalled before you hit the kill switch (only just but, it did); I'm afraid I need to ask you to take another vid showing the kill switch to be operational before I can qualify you...

Sorry to be such a hard a$$ but, rules is rules... (hey, I was called out on the same issue...)

On a totally different subject, I agree with Eric (chancer) & Doug (poboy) regarding the finish; leave it for a few weeks for a little surface rust to set in around the welds, then semi gloss clear the whole thing; the petina on that thing is almost perfect...

actually it didn't. for some reason the audio on my phone vids are off lately. I don't know why. I have a vid of my neighbor riding the kart and when he goes by me he hollers YaaHoo but in the vid he says Yahoo about 2 seconds before getting to me. I don't understand it. I noticed that in the video too when I uploaded it. I will make another using a different camera. Not sure why my phone is acting up.

Those are good pics! I like the way this turned out. That seat is perfect. Is the wheelie bar ever gonna be used?

Doubt it, without a backrest to prevent catastrophe. I use it all the time right now to lift it, move it, and support it on saw horses to work on it.

So you need an aluminum lawn chair with the backrest LOL. But hey it looks cool.

That's a reasonable explanation but, another vid would be greatly appreciated

Sorry to be such a stickler but, you don't want anyone contesting your build, better to be safe than sorry...

You are right, i didn't notice that. Why are the front wheels not pointing in the same direction?

it's not "leaning". they are not perfectly true (toed out) because the "tie-rods" are simple bent bars that have some slop at the joints. I would need to actual tie rods with heim joints to tighten it up, but, it drives straight and smooth with no wobble.

well, I don't have a prayer of winning so I'll get around to it sometime this summer, there is no bonus for being the first one done.

You don't know what is going to happen DW, that is a cool little ride that you have come up with, it's not over until it's over.

I agree. I like it as I have said but I see a lot of other guys saying the same thing. Remember this is a member poll to select the winner. It may be the coolest wins or the best driving.
