That could be the reason why it over heated, because it was running rich for the temperature it was in
Wouldn't it be running lean to be over heating?

No because when you run rich you burn more fuel, and when there's more burning of fuel it equals more heat,less fuel less heat, but just don't run it too lean

.....Fuel is a coolant....especially in a rich situation....(which means the cylinder and head are getting sprayed with cold, unburned fuel)....Rich engines run cooler than lean.....

Well....it's all good if someone learns something....and we can stop some misinformation.....you know....I thought I was wrong once....but I was mistaken.....JK.....
The up side is....you always remember the things you have been proven wrong on ....much more clearly....and for the rest of your life....whereas the stuff you are right about....fades and gets fuzzy.....
BTW: He may or more not have chopped down a cherry tree....but...he for sure wasn't the first President of the United States......

Yeah good thing I learned that, do you think running the engine on 93 octane will help cool it down a little , because that's what fuel I plan on running the engine on
