Converting Vert. to Horiz.

I see this done on You tube, with a 3 1/2 B&S lawnmower engine. Is this practicle? Will it work with a larger, say 11 HP?
What happens when a governor is removed? I have rebuilt a carb or two, but always hook up as original.

Its possible ,but you will have to take the crank shaft to a machine shop to be milled down to fit a regular clutch, and removing the governor will be fine unless you over rev it, and you will have to remove the governor any way because it's attached to the oil flicker and you will have to remove it any way ,but other than that just do what they did in the video on YouTube

The shaft is one inch, so no problem there. I thought the gov. could be safely removed, thanks for the confirmation.

That's for horizontal engines it's different for vertical engines, the governor is attached to the oil flicker and all you have to do is pull it out
