Mini Chopper Project

For the past couple years I have really wanted to build an awesome looking mini chopper. I dont want it to look like a bicycle with extended forks but instead like the one in the picture. I have a budget of around $500 but of course cheaper is better. I dont know where to find a frame or the right engine. Please let me know how to get started and where to buy the frame and what type of engine to use. I am 6ft tall and dont want it to be really small like a pocket bike. All help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Maybe something like this? I got this frame for $60 bucks. They run for around that price. Or is this too small for you?

Hello and welcome.
First could you fill out your profile so we can help you with a part selection. We're a global forum.

I'm guessing this isn't going to be a street legal build, so parts are a plenty.
A Honda/clone 6.5hp is a common start, cent clutch, mechanical or juice brakes, trailer tires, bicycle parts for the bits and pieces.

What tools do you have and how extensively are you wanting to build this bike, frame up(need to weld and have a machine), or assemble from parts.

I'd say take a good look at the number of bikes here, see what's strikes your fancy, ask questions on what you do like.
I built one check it out.

mini chopper motor

I bought this mini chopper base off of someone for $150 and am not sure where to go after this. I know I need a gas tank and engine. There is a plastic cover where the gas tank should go but it is just for show. I real gas tank goes on the inside. It has two holes on the top and looks like it fits a specific model gas tank but im not sure. Also I want the bike to be electric start and dont know what motor to buy for it. I know the bike has some switches on the handle bars but dont know which ones are usefull. All advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What you have there is the 49cc mini chopper terminator.
Just Google 49cc mini chopper terminator parts and you should find everything you need to put it back together. You can get pretty much every part you will need for it. Hope this helps.

Well im wondering if I have to use the motor for this model or if i could buy any motor that fit the dimensions. Also, what would the difference be. Lastly, what would be a good electric start motor to buy for this bike.

If i want to buy an electric start engine to fit on this bike would the one in the link work? Would i have to purchase any extra pieces in order for it to function properly such as the carb? Yeah that engine in the link should bolt right up, you will probably have to locate a couple bolts to bolt it down with, should be a direct fit though , I can't tell in your pics but if you have all the wiring on the bike shouldn't be to hard to get going. Should be like 3 wires 2 coming from the top of the engine and 1 coming from the starter.but yes that will work.

Does it still have the electric components should be mounted on the frame under the fake gas tank. You will need that slso.

Would you suggest purchasing the engine in the link a couple comments above or purchasing something different. Also where can I find out which wires to connect to another.
