I see stability being an issue with something like that, if you're trying to make it faster, that is. They're probably made to go somewhat slow.

Kibble - I agree about the stability as it is, but if the front end were widened about a foot, lengthen the rear just a bit, and place the motor right in the middle, under the seat, could be a slick drifter.... or maybe I am just imagining/over-simplifying.


I've got the itch to build a kart, just need to settle on a budget and get to it (I'm cheap and a little lazy).

Tadpole trikes tend to have a stability issue at high speed, even if your center of gravity is very low. It is quite easy to flip tadpole trikes, they just won't corner like any 4 wheeled counterpart.
