That's looking nice, Nick. Are you doing anything with the exhaust, or staying stock?

I did make a custom exhaust as seen here on my rebuild of the engine ( you can hear it run on the last page too). http://www.diygokarts.com/vb/showthread.php?t=25873&page=4
but the exhaust runs very close to the carb and will be directly on the fender too. So for now I will use the stock until I make a new one with a bend to fit to the bike..

One day i will purchase the engine mounting plate, rear axle, and bushings. Just adding piece by piece. A couple views with one wheel. lol

You'll like that DB30. I have two and love them. My daily rider has a stock GC190 that I've adjusted the governor to turn 4000 rpm. Does 38mph according to the GPS. Pulls good for a stock engine. I like it cause I can ride it around my yard.

Motor adapter plate on, rear wheel on, and borrowed a brake lever and cable from mountain bike.

I hope tomorrow or maybe tonight to have :
chain on and throttle connected.

the briggs is being a little temperamental. I thought I worked out an air leak in manifold, but I might have to mess with it again.

I could possibly get a ride in before 1st snow here,,,,,,

I decide I will use the 5hp flat head for my Murray kart build. And I will use my briggs 6hp OHV intek for the Doodle Devil.
The 5hp is pretty tall and only gives 1" clearance from spark plug to top of frame ( i keep chipping paint with every time i put it in or out). The OHV gives plenty of room and will allow me plenty of clearance when and if I ever make a JS for TC.

So doing the switch-a-roo...

Heck ya,
I received the Briggs animal cam for my 6hp briggs intek OHV, the clutch, and now just waiting on piston rings to arrive.
Then the bike should be ready for reassembly and riding. I need new brake pads but the olds will do for now.
