GX200 Clone Jetting

Is it worth changing the E-Tube and jetting the carb for a governed minibike engine?

Wait, no, drop the conrod; if you're upgrading, you need a billet conrod, that's an OEM, no better than what you have now; a billet rod will cost you a bit more than that...

Cover your mouth with your hand, now take a deep breath in & out; hard work isn't it? That's what you're engine is doing...

Now take a deep breath in then cover your mouth & breathe out; that's what your engine is doing with a hi flow air filter & stock muffler...

"The better an engine can breathe, the better it will perform"

As for the jet & e tube, you need to let the engine tell you what it needs once it can breathe correctly, otherwise, you'll only be force feeding it which will hinder performance

"More fuel is not always the answer..."

Okay.
I have looked at importing the parts from the US since it seems to be a bit cheaper.

Which filter would you guys prefer personally? I can't decide if the truth be told.

What filter would you guys use if it were you, from the image above?

I have hooked up the tach, it idles at around 1600, and even lowering the stop screw, the governor keeps it at 1650.

At full rpm I have limited it to 3000 (roughly) according to the tach anyway.

Here's a picture of the spark plug as asked for:

... you check the plug "after" youve got everything installed... intake/header... then run for afew minutes... check plug... adjust/install accordingly, if needed(on a norm a highflow air and header will need a minimum of a jet upgrade aswell... the norm for that is 35-38). Make sure when you 'test-run', your plug is 'clean' to get an accurate visual guesstimation(Yours currently looks normal/good).

And I have no preference for your kart's air filter(just as noone does... except you). IMO a highflow air filter is a highflow air filter... the visualness from one to another is dependant upon the personal preferences/availability at 'that' time, of 'that' person...("...one man's trash, is another man's treasure."). Im a; "Walk quietly, and carry a big stick. / Big things can come from small packages." kinda guy... so Id probably never get a 'big' filter, when alil one does the job n stays outta the way.

So the first things you recommend are to remove governor, header and high flow intake?

If so, would you recommend the K&n style or UNI filter?

Personally, I'd use the Uni but, that''s just me...

At full rpm I have limited it to 3000 (roughly) according to the tach anyway.

It should be 3600 but, you can safely go to 4000 with the governor intact...

So the first things you recommend are to remove governor, header and high flow intake?

Leave the governor for now, just do the header & filter...

Ok, I might go ahead and order the UNI. does it matter is the header doesn't have a muffler, or the shape of the header?

Those uni filters or aka foam filter designs like disenigrating and making havoc on carburetors. So no don't get the uni get one of the other And the angle is preference. So either will work just fine.

I cant get either as the moment as it's a rare find to get them in the UK and it's 30 dollars including the bracket from the US but with 37 dollars postage

So that is a dead end for me until I find a source in the UK

Also, another question I have is, which pipe would be better? I could always remove the muffler but it's better to have it rather than not and regret it later.

It looks like that is off of the AGP, and if you're buying a adaptor to fit it to your stock carb, the k&n style one is the only one of those that will fit.

I adapted mine to fit my mikuni carb.
