Hey Guys,

Well I just installed the predator 212 motor in the Carter cart.. Problem is the kill switch was removed from the org. location the guy was just using the one on the engine itself, not good because my girlfriend son uses it.. So I bought a new toggle and hooked up leads to it to reach the motor..

I have heard the oil pressure switch will cuts the motor out on bumpy terrain... So I would like to by pass that of course..

I would like to keep both switches working (org. one and the new one)..

So guys, can you help me out?

Thank you! :wai:

Cut the yellow wire that leads out of the nut on the lower portion of the engine block. Splice your kill switch wire into it. Problem solved.

Your kill switch could be a 1 wire or 2 wire switch.

Either way the switch itself or one of the two wires needs to be grounded to the frame. The other wire or the single wire needs to be connected to the yellow wire.

When you are finished, you will see where you cut your yellow wire:

1) one end that comes out of the nut on the block not connected to anything
2) the other end where you made your cut spliced into your kill switch wire

You don't need to cut any wires, there is a single wire plug connecting the oil sensor, simply unplug it, source matching plugs & attach them to the 2 wires from the toggle switch, plug them in & you're good to go

Better than what I did... I opened up the block... removed the whole darn unit, n screwed a lil screw into the hole.... now I have alil more oil storage... hehe.

... BTW... you can also remove that lil square metal thingy that bolts up to the outside of the case, just above where that lil yellow wire comes out. by removing that and the yellow wire... only leaves you w/ the factory motor switch(2 wires) and the ignition coil wire(which 'should' already be connected to the switch). Take the 1 unplugged wire, left over, connect to your remote location switch, then ground the other end, to complete the circuit. Both need to be 'on' for the motor to start... only 1 needs to switched off to kill motor(either works).
