Ok, we have been very busy setting up the garage for the build, gaot all of the material and tools needed. I hav e been doing allot of 3D drawings to kind of build the kart before we start nd see if we can do any custiomization to it. One question I have is what impact would it have if I lenghtened the cart buy one section, Please the "red" section in the photo. Thenak you in advance for your help.

Before I start on the build, let's talk about the post:
1. Do you have a spellchecker? No, I'm not picking on your spelling ability, no one spells that bad, it's more like silly typos...
2. What made you think it was a good idea to put this in the site announcements section?

Ok, now on to the build. Are you building from a pre-existing frame? If so, there are one or two things to think about when stretching a frame

I will post pictures once I can figure out where the correct place to start the build thread is. I got allot of good information from this forum, and I’m just trying return the favor by maybe helping someone else. If someone could tell me where the correct place is….please.

First off. PLEASE do not multiple post just minutes apart. At te bottom right of each of your posts you will see a EDIT button. Click on that to add to your post.

The right section for your build would be the Project Gallery and Project Log section. Fabroman has already moved this thread there, so you can just continue using this thread for your build

Pictures and a question

The first picture is the first piece we made, only took us about three hours, lol. Lots of laughs doing it, but now we are rolling. We have the entire base of the frame, cut, notched, squared up, and tacked. The spindles are cut and welded, so the front end should be started soon, just waiting for more supplies coming in the mail. Also I have included some pictures of the tools we got for the build. If anyone has any questions about them please let me know.

QUESTION: We are wondering if we should / could extend the frame, please see the 3D drawing (with the person doing Yoga), the red section is what we are thinking.

Spindle goof up...Help

I just realized that I drilled ½” holes in all of my spindles, the front A-Arms call for 3/8” holes, is the fix as easy as just using ½” bolts. Ohhhhh add a post like this..got it now....can you help me with my questions?

Hmm, I'm not sure I like the look of the front end design, there's no stability, you really need 4 pieces for maximun strength & stability, not two...

Hit the quote button in the right hand corner of the post you want to copy.

Also- If you look at the posts you made there is an edit button in the same area.Hit that instead of making a new post back to back.

EDIT: The simplest way to explain what Fab is trying to tell you is for you to look at some traditional "control arms".

Would this work better?????

TY all for your help. Now another question "Does it matter where I weld the pivot arm" (up high or low) I understand the angle but not the where on the spindle.
