On the stock briggs air filter it sucks in the air from the bottom and has a metal cover over the top. Wouldnt drilling lots of holes on the top increase air flow and make it run better? Ive taken off the muffler and have a small 90 degree pipe on there, it sounds wicked now and when u let off the throttle it makes this nice purr sound. Is it ok for the pipe to be really short, im talking about 25cm-30cm long. Do i have to lengthen the pipe more?

That's how my Honda Clone was. Two small holes in the bottom of the plastic filter assembly is all it breathes with! I just removed the top cover completely, and used a wingnut to hold the foam/paper stock filter in place. The filter is wide in the open, the wind blows ON the filter when riding, and makes a NICE power difference, and the sound is deeper under load.

LOL XD That's because no two dyno pulls are the same. Ever so slight change's. Just everything about the engine was different each pass. Where you trying to test me?

Well in a Dyno pull/pass you will notice relativly the same EGT's and CHT's and RPM. But HP VS TORQUE will almost never be the same.

i might mod the air filter more. Might take off the whole side and bottom bit and just have a top on it.

Probably better than the holes.

It's a nice little engine, can't wait to see it on your kart!

Use scientific method, not what you "think" or "feel" or what it "seems like". Make several runs with mods and several without. Use a stopwatch. Chart results. Take an average.
This is one of the things that engine blueprinters do.
