LATEST UPDATE***
- Painted with Rust Reformer and then painted it
- Put new wheels and rims on
- Flat Dark Gray Engine Enamel on Engine and Straight Pipes
- Flat Gray Painted Steering Wheel
- New Master Cylinder (bought today)
- Covered Seat (hasn't been fitted yet, I will fix it and get all the wrinkles out and tighten it flush with the seat)
I had this bad boy loaded up on my trailer and ready to role for a test run and sure enough, these cheap d*amn bungee cords gave too much (even though it was in gear) and slammed back into the wall of my trailer and it busted the radiator!
I was livid to say the least, however, it was repairable.. Used SMS JB Weld Kwik Steel.. Not the epoxy stuff where you mix it up, but the actually clay bar. Worked like a charm.
Next on the to do..
- Mounting bracket or brace for the battery.. Where should I put it? Anyone have a step by step guide to making your own custom battery box? Preferably one with a cover?
- Put a steel sheet behind the seat to reduce the heat in the cockpit.. I have MAPP gas.. Steel sheet, and a soldering kit.
- Hide wires behind the engine between the steel brackets.. Pref a waterproof sealed box that can withstand a little heat. Not much heat though because its a good 6 inches from the engine. The CPU, starter relay fuse, etc would go in it. I was thinking of using a small metal tool box with some high heat insulation, but didn't have any luck finding a box that would fit flush (around 9-10inches) between the steel welds. Anyone ever build a water sealed box that's small and will reduce wires from just hanging out everywhere with steps on making it?
Help and feedback is appreciated!
