i happen to have the galaxy tab 2, its a very useful tool. do you have the 7 inch, 7.7 inch, or the 10 inch? i own the 7, not only does it do about everything a computer can do, you can also use it as a TV remote

Hahaha! Wow! You know, I DO have a program that will defermine an engine's RPM based on the sound frequency. Gonna have to see if I can put it on this thing!

you very well can, but you cant install windows programs, you must install applications from the playstore. if you look up in the search bar " engine rpm " youll see an app called acoustic tachometer thats free and does the same thing, just install it. also the app below that one is an application for manual cars that will let you set an rpm number and will blink like a shift light when you reach that rpm, this is why everyone loves the android user interface.

There's an easy way to reconcile that: Our kids were born & are growing up in the digital age; they don't know life without computers, mobile phones, video games, etc... We gen X's lived through the invention & development of all that technology & then had to learn how to use it...

Thinking back about technology, even I feel old.

-Everyone had dialup internet (if they even had a computer)
-Computers had floppy disc drives
-Disney movies came on VHS in blow-molded plastic cases
-Color printers were expensive
-Cassette tapes
-CD's were really bad about "skipping"
-Flat screen TV's were huge and weighed a ton

I remember when cellphones came to South Africa, as well as having a video machine which had a corded remote. The dog kept on chewing the cord, so it got so short we might as well have gotten up each time we wanted to do something on the video machine

Ha living in Australia and a very isolated part of it I know what u mean

As we had to wait for satellite technology to get cheap(ish) and available to everyone

So we didn't have tv till 2000 and the Internet came on in 2003
I remember going in the computer just to play on paint

Also when I started boarding school in 05 4 of us made a 3 hr round trip to get a 250mb USB because only 1 shop sold them
Now I have 4 gb sticks as spare

I bought my first usb thumb drive (It was a 64mb cause I couldnt afford the 250mb) it cost $69+tax. A few years ago my buddy bought a bunch of 1gb thumbs for $9 each.

When the first(that I saw) 1gb small "drive" came out, it was like $300-$400, and it had small little discs like a hard disc drive.

Ya, i hear ya, and Im nearing 30 now. But I definatly like showing out the younger and older crowd how my flintlock shoots, especially them AR lovers.
