My New old cart

Manco Phoenix II. Replaced the engine with a predator 212. Fixed the brakes. Clean her up. Added some padding. And boom done. Total investment 257$

looks mint! thats the same kart my friend has but its trashed. i like the padding, my friend got hurt pretty bad when he flipped it. what did you use?

also how do you like the predator?

I just used pipe insulation from the hardware store. So far the 212 is awesome. It runs great and has plenty of power. When my kids ride it I screw in the throttle screw 3/4 of the way in to slow it down. It's way to fast when I have it all the way out.

Just be aware that in doing this you may be causeing the engine not to rev high enough for the centrifugal clutch (if you have one) to engage. This will cause it to slip and you will wear your clutch out very quickly

Thanks for the tip. I have a TC though. Will it affect the TC
