got a decent amount done i would've been finished with this if the new spool for my welder hadn't been tangled up when i bought it so now i gotta return that before i can finish.
got flat steel to make the new shock mounts and headlight mounts.
mounted a smaller steering wheel it makes getting in and out easier since i'm 6'1
and cut part of the frame and old shock mounts to make room for the bigger engine and suspension with mounting it this way its a less severe lift and i can run a bigger shock i also believe it may stiffen it a bit which could be good for jumps

Hmm, not sure on that one but, a cheaper option may be a front setup from a sportsbike; bigger disc, bigger & better caliper & you know it's gonna stop you

Where there's a complete brake setup there's usually a rotor &, in my experience, most people sell brakes as a sealed unit (caliper, master cylinder & hose); email the seller & ask if they have a rotor they can include in the package for an added cost; it never hurts to ask :)

i'll ask when i'm looking for brakes which will be very soon this beast hopefully will be running by next week.
i got some more work done i am mostly done with the shock mounts but didnt get to finish because work got in the way but its looking good.
also i found some high precision bearings i had laying around and i wanted to use them for my jack shaft and just make my own but i wasn't sure if i could run them because i think they're 5/8 and i'll need a 1in 40 series.

AFAIK, all Comet 40's require a 3/4" jackshaft.

well i ordered a hilliard extreme duty clutch for now i wont do any serious offroading yet but i wanna get it running and setting up a clutch is cheaper and easier ill be running a ratio of 4:1 is this going to be a decent ratio i can adjust when i get the 40 series cvt

I think a 4:1 ratio will destroy your clutch trying to get moving.

Think closer to 7:1

Yeah, a 4:1 is not a good idea. It will be a waste of time and money spent on the clutch you bought
