well... a snowmobile engine takes up to much room, and since those are made for cold weather... couldn't really use that here to easily. i'm not really sure about finding the motor locally because i've been looking for a couple months and cant find anything.

but do you think that engine would work out fine?

If ya used a sled engine youd just have to rejet it for maximum performance. Id just get the 200cc, it has reverse, and is liquid cooled.

Well if you get the engine just mock up some mounts for it(just tack weld) then once you have em right weld it good and strong.

uh oh! the more i think about this i keep on thinking up problems! there's a main frame and a sub frame on the go kart, and a pivet point between the two. its also go two shocks on there. my problem now would be... the engine goes on the subframe, but since there's a pivet point with shocks, how do i run like a small rod from the shifter on the engine, across the pivet point, then mount it on the main frame? the real problem would be... since the rod is mounted, what would happen if i hit a big bump?

Mounting the motor is easy as. Use some wood or something to prop up the motor so it is sitting where you want it. Then weld some flatbar together and drill a few holes in it where you put bolts through into the engine... and there you are.

P.S ATV and dirt bike motors are the best!

Okay, thats what they go for but I would never pay that for a Chinese motor. And a water cooled motor on a cart makes no sense. Water cooling doesn't make much sense for anything now that I think about it. In the end your just blowing air over fins, why make things complicated?
