Mocking up my notches, Its enough to lay 26" of rim and rubber, so I think that will be more than enough for now. I intend on running a set of 15" Z71 chevy stockers with some fairly short tires. (not sure yet). But the highest I will probably go is 18" rims. But we'll see.
Heres some porn:
I still have to notch the front end of the notch a bit more to get it sitting level/at the angle I want. But thats easy enough.
Its constructed from 1/4" 2x3" angle iron. (Just pie cut and bent at the angles I wanted) Saved me a ton of time from trying to fab each side of the notch separetely. And basically I will flipping the stuff over to do the other undersides/opposite sides of the notches. So there will only be 2 seams. Then most likely fish plated too..
I've also decided I will be fabbing everything myself to save money, and its just cool to be able to say I built everything! This includes all of the links, mounting tabs, and anything else I may need. I won't have bags for awhile yet, but just having it 4-linked and sitting on the ground will give me the motivation I need to finally get the bags and rest of the stuff I'll need.
