Where did you come up with <$100? I doubt that.

I know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy...no but seriously I see gsxr parts on cragslist all the time in my area and they are almost always cheep. If I wait long enough, and catch the right things for the right prices I should be able to get everything for less than $100.

Sorry I didn't know you could properly judge a weld from so far away...

Yes thats right, you don't know my skills or experience. One thing I know is MIG welding, having been around when hyperbaric chamber hatches have been welded and ultra-sound. But hey, whatever mate. Its advice, take it or leave it.

I just had a quick look on ebay, and the throttle bodies alone are about $80-$300. But, nice score anyway.

Jeremy.

Not talking about eBay mate. But if I was, here's a pair that's currrenty going for $20. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...0606410333&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK:MEWAX:IT And I appreciate any advice I can get, but so far you've just slammed my project and not told me how to fix anything that you think is wrong.

Sorry mate, didn't mean to be harsh. I think you understand that I highly recommend that you sand that rust of before you weld it again.

That square tube that that you can see down the end, I think you need to make a plate to go over it, not just a cap.

Like this.

Then weld your roll bar on to that.

What kind of plans do you have for your roll bar, and how about your drive line, i'm keen to see how you plan to set that up.

Jeremy.

Thanks Guys!

yz:
Im using a 2002 GSX-R 600 motor.
Displacement: 599.00 ccm (36.55 cubic inches)
Engine type: In-line four, four-stroke
Power: 115.00 HP (71.5 kW)) @ 11800 RPM
Torque: 63.00 Nm (6.4 kgf-m or 46.5 ft.lbs) @ 9500 RPM
Top speed: 255.0 km/h (158.4 mph)
Bore x stroke: 67.0 x 42.5 mm (2.6 x 1.7 inches)
Valves per cylinder: 4
Fuel system: Injection
Cooling system: Liquid
Gearbox: 6-speed
Transmission type,
final drive: Chain

I would reccomend a motorcycle, or snowmobile engine for your buggy. Preferrably a motorcycle engine.

cars are the same in the 4 values thing ever wonder why a V6 has 24 writen on the back somtimes

thats a nice engine u got there, did u get all the wireing, carbs, air bos and so on with it

i also have one (2007 model) and im putting it in a buggy of oddly similar shape (but mine is from plans)

ill have to see how u do the cooling system as i dont properly understand how to

nice cage u got there, it proberly would have been better to make the front hoop one peice for strength but it will still work

Just the engine. I know where to get everything else for cheap though. Ill be using a electric fan wired to a switch, and a honda civic radiator for cooling. Should be more than enough. Im hoping the front hoop will work (not planning to roll it, but who ever is? :D)

Well havn't really updated in a long a$$ time so here we go. Got a running motor today on the cheap so that problems all figured out  . Does anyone have a wireing diagram of a 2003-2005 cbr600rr? I finaly got my tubing notcher in the mail so I will be finishing the roll cage and starting on my a arms. Im really close to finishing now, all I need to do is put everything togeather lol. Also, if anyone knows a plave where I can get 1 inch O.D. bushings (bronze or polly) please let me know. Im hoping to have this up and running by the end of this month :wai: . Heres some pics of the motor:

If you cant tell already this motor has everything with it, harness, ecu, etc. All I need is the gauge cluster but thats a optional part. Lemme know what you guys think.
