also to keep you guys updated on what im doing to make the kawi fit in there. the transaxle that i put so much work into to make the briggs motor work will be pulled out because even if i rotated it to work with the kawi's horizontal crankshaft , the transaxle would probly grenade the first time i romped on it with that motor.
i only need one big part before i start to transplant this stuff in. the plan is to mount that kawi motor and trans sideways int the rear of the cart , make a driveshaft off of the kawi 5 spd that runs into a 5 speed out of a 2wd geo tracker ( i went junkyard hunting today and thats the smallest trans i could find , even smaller than a 3 cyl geo metro trans). the trans will be stripped of the bellhousing and tailshaft to make it as short and compact as possible.
from there the geo tracker trans will have a modified divorce mount braiden pto box mounted to it ( used to run a 20 ton braiden winch on a duece and a half, extremely beefy but still very compact). the braiden pto box will act as my transfer case . the only thing i have to do to it is make it so it has 3 outputs on it , currently it only has 2 but it shouldn't take much moddification to make it work .
so to sum it up between the 2 5 speed transmissions i will have 25 different forward speeds to choose from which will range from extremly low to double overdriven ( extremely high). and i will have 5 different reverse gears to choose from. and incase your all wondering why im putting the tracker trans in there when the kawi already has a 5 spd , its only going to be there so i can still have reverse , BUT the extra gear reduction will be fun to play with also.
sorry for the long post guys
