Same brake kit I bought. Just installed it yesterday and it works great. Me and mykart weigh about 480lbs. Stops great. I have mounted calipers in all sorts of ways. Just as long as the whole surface of the pads are contacting the disc, you should be fine.

also i have seen you didnt bypass the low oil sensor in the engine. you might be able to set that up to a gauge (lol) but i would cut or disconnect the yellow wire coming out of the engine because it might shut off around turns where the oil flows to one side of the engine and it will shut off every time.
as far as the caliper, thats gonna lock up the wheels solid!!!!

Anyone know the pros/cons of mounting the brake caliper forward/behind the rotor? Is there a better position for maximum torque or is it just preference?
