heres the rear suspension. the rear hub is made out of angle iron. that should cut down on the cost of having custom made parts.

A arms have been remodeled to .6" down from 1"

make sure you get some bushings to cushion the A arms, whether you buy em or make em out of whatever rubber/hose you can find. its gonna make your ride better, prevent the metal from rubbing, and keep everything from shattering if you hit bumps.
is this gonna be a street kart or an offroad one? one or the other will affect ur engine shopping alot, the offroad type (atv and dirtbike) will offer more torque but shake ALOT at high rpms. the street type motors will offer less torque low down but higher top end.

also if youre gonna go out and spend the money on an ATV, at least use the suspension from it too. poorly made A-arms will break the first time out and then you're stuck and back to square 1. what kind of metal are you using? what thickness round tube? etc..
lots to think about..

SWEET! COOL! AWESOME!

Totally off topic but - How do you cut metal?

I'm not sure who you are addressing, but I cut with various grinders, saws, a cutoff wheel, and I grind some metal with my bench grinder.

I too think that you should just use the atv rear suspension, much cheaper/easier and you'll be happier in the long run.

off road but not really rough terrain. as for the engine. beggers cant be choosers. im going with whatever i find cheapest.
metal is going to be whatever i can find/salvage.

5ft of chain duh

just found out its a 525 chain

i said everything in post #47

Be easy on the guy hes the one helping you! And plus you NEVER said it was 525 chain when you asked, All you said was a 5/8 gap between links. If you want help first find out the pitch then ask!

In MX, the front tire is 2 inches bigger than the rear, easier for turning, the same goes with the width as well.

are you serious? all the buggys ive seen have narrow front tires and almost paddle rear tires.

mx is motorcycles right?

Actually, when I said "5ft of what?" I meant what pitch, which is why I typed what I typed after that question. :)
