Just curious, does anyone else have a Zombie plan? A few of my buddies and me joke about stuff like that, I'm trying to have a full size bat-leh made of steel, so far I cant find a blacksmith with a large enough heating surface.

I know thats super nerdy but I think its better than a sword of a baseball bat after you run out of ammo.

Thats not crazy right?

Dog just needs to get bitten once my friend, they're great companions and I love em but I don't think they are that amazing given a zombie crisis.

Okay, thats not a bad plan at all... I've never seen a mall with a wal-mart attached but doesn't wal-mart have guns and ammo too? You'd be awesome if you could lock it down, but we've seen that movie where they actually go to a mall during a zombie attack, too many entrances to stop most the zombies.

In a zombie attack I would want something fortified, there is an old (stone walls!) currently unoccupied, prison nearby that would work well. An old cold war backyard bomb shelter would work pretty good too if I could manage to set it up to be used as permanent residence.

My opinion of a best bet would be some sort of homebuilt heavy armored vehicle, something like this:

Increased scavenging range, and if you encounter too many undead, let the diesel do the work.

That does seem like it would be a good idea, what kind of firepower would you want against the Zombies, for sure I'd want a tumbling round for knockdown power, remember Vietnam? You need big bullets to knock down people doped up, zombies would be way worse.

We always figured we'd take our trucks and head to the national guard armory north of here and hope they had stuff under control as we shot our way to them, heh.

It makes you wonder what it would really take to kill one. If it is just massive brain damage, then nothing more than a nice scoped .22 will do ya. The bullet doesn't exit the skull, simply bouncing around shredding everything. But if you need to basically blow their head into multiple pieces, then you probably need to be thinking military grade stuff. Something in a 7.62 or 5.56 variant for readily available ammo, possibly .30-06.

Dude, I keep a short barrel Mossberg 590 with a side saddle in my room. I'm sure it'll take out a zombie with 00 shotx3in. At the very least it'll really not be fun for anyone who decides to break in the front, I doubt anyone would break in the back due to the German Shepherd and the Pitt.

Have you considered Nato tumbling rounds in a mini-gun?

Also, do you think the bat-leh will be a good weapon?

I'm sorry...but you guys all suck and none of you are thinking the right way!

We all need to rig our go karts and mini bikes with anti-zombie mechanisms.

I am thinking several uncovered mower decks and of course you mossberg 590 for other encounters when you get off to get the blood out of your air filter!

a. Way overkill, wastes too much precious ammo. You need to use sniper tactics, one round each to the head.

b. Maybe as a last ditch. You really don't want to be that close to the zombies whilst killing them, too risky. Plus think about what it is going to take to chop the head off them one after another. Not something I would use unless I knew I was dead soon.

:roflol:

I'll stand back with my rifle and 6 ton truck and laugh while you try to figure out how to cut off a zombie's head with a lawnmower. Cutting their appendages off does nothing but piss them off.

Before anyone suggests it, KILL IT WITH FIRE is NOT the answer here. What is worse than a zombie hoard trying to eat you? A zombie hoard that is on FIRE trying to eat you. Just sayin'.

The day zombies are real...I wonder if the government actually have a safe plan for that lol. Hypothetically speaking, if zombies ever become a reality, and manage to start to take over, we all deserve to die. Cause really how pathetic would that be, If we could not protect ourselves from mindless drones... My weapon of choice would be ummm a flame thrower or the sword of conan, this is all theory. lol

Well after thinking about it, if zombies have no control over their animal instincts. And only basic brain functions are working, and then just maybe it might be possible to create a form of zombies by studying Psychopaths. Unless I am wrong, psychopaths lack the inhibitors that a “Normal” person would have. They lack the ability of emotions and right and wrong, so if you could future research this just maybe you could create a blood thirsty brain eating zombie. All you would have to do is have a very in-depth knowledge of the human brain mapping, and be able to bypass all processes in there that contribute to emotion and memory. And connect motor skills to the basic animal instinct processes, which could theoretically be connected by a tumor. So are there any neurosurgeons here?

Okay, your right, I am not taking this seriously enough, this could some day be a real scenario we need to be ready for!

I like the sniper tactics and ammo conservation. As stated a nice .22 would be great. I think a good glock 357 sig would be good too. If this ever happens, I will find you all and we will go to a mall.

I think amongst all of us we have enough ideas to do pretty swell.

........I'm still bringing my go kart. All that torque is good for towing....and mowing.....
