Zero experience looking for an easy build

Hi,

I just got a Lincoln weld pac and want to try it out on a go kart build. I have zero experience and I was looking for a detailed easy build. I have looked over the threads but I haven't seen any that I felt would be easy to follow for some one with zero experience.


I checked out "build an offroad buggy" form the local libraury and that might be the one I try.

Any direction would be appriciated.

and may i ask...do you have a welder or know how to weld?

good luck, and just remember when in doubt, overbuild. if you think it might break, your probably right. make it strong, and it will last you a looooong time.

I would recommend buying a beat to hell(but fairly complete) kart with frame damage and welding it up.

Be sure to take money into account.. things can start to get pricey if you just plow into a project..!

yh, i started off with a £25 VERY unrealistic budget, considering my clutch was £30! i went to £25 for the engine, and then to £200 for the lot. i have now spent about £350, after buying safety harness, seat and helmet at the end (grannys paid for birthday present) and bought a tq converter.
