1. DeLorean DMC-12, with an aluminum big block Chevy V8 swapped in(looking for 500-600 WHP). Would look like this, but with drag tires. EDIT: with a "SRS SHT" vanity plate.

2. 1978 Pontiac Trans Am, modified to run 9s, corner and stop just liek any modern sports car.

3. Geo metro 2 door hatch, with the original engine and transmission removed, the backseat will be replaced by the loaded front subframe from a FWD V8 Cadillac. There will be features like exhaust cutouts and a "run like **** to surprise people mode"
See what comes close here. http://www.rearenginegeo.netfirms.com/

I actually prefer the new TT to the audi r8. The additional supercarish features take away from the looks imo. plus i prefer a smaller car overall

You know those Deloreans have the PRV v6 engine in them, they can easily be tuned to 500+ horsepower, performance bits are pretty common too.

Id rather see a gm v8 in a delorean that would be freaking cool as all hell.. and with a v6 you dont get the awsome rumble or anything like that.

Well you would get pretty nice sound from the 6, the PRV is like Europe's version of the GM 4.3 V6 its basically an V8 missing two cylinders. My dad has a 3" straight pipe on his 94 K1500 with a 4.3 in it, it rumbles/growls rather nicely, even though the truck is slower than a stock Geo metro.

Wow. I had always thought it would be cool to do this exact thing, and I had never heard anyone with the same idea until now. I guess great minds think alike. Imagine a geo with a 70s caddy eldorado subframe and the 500 CI big block swapped into it. With all that weight in the back and low-end torque it would do wheelies for sure. Or imagine a newer northstar V8 in it. hmmm. You've got me thinking now.
